London 2012's transfer of knowledge runs through Wednesday in Rio de Janeiro
The weeklong debrief began last week with three days of meetings between technology experts from the two Olympic cities.
The formal knowledge share among London staffers and their Rio counterparts kicked off Saturday.
Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 are also in town, as are 2020 bid cities and other Olympic stakeholders.
IOC president Jacques Rogge is attending the debrief, visiting venues and observing progress toward 2016.
IAAF Centenary Gala
Around the Rings
will be on the scene in Barcelona for this weekend’s IAAF Centenary Gala.
The inaugural class of the IAAF Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Gala, and the 2012 Athletes of the Year will be announced.
The IAAF’s Centenary Historic Exhibition at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum will also come to a close over the weekend.
NOC Elections in Indian, South Africa
Elections for president of the Indian Olympic Association are slated for Sunday.

IOC member and current IOA secretary general Raja Randhir Singh is running against Abhay Singh Chautala, chair of the national boxing association.
Also this weekend, Gideon Sam is set for a new term as president of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee at Saturday’s SASCOC elections.
South Africa 2010 chair Irvin Khoza entered the race against Sam but withdrew last week.
