1/8/2010

The International Olympic Committee today released the Report of the IOC Evaluation Commission for the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2014.

The Evaluation Commission, chaired by IOC member Frank Fredericks, was appointed by the IOC President to analyse the projects of the three Candidate Cities: Guadalajara (Mexico), Nanjing (China) and Poznan (Poland)*.

The report is organised city by city and contains the Evaluation Commission’s technical risk assessment of the three Candidate Cities as well as a conclusion.

This report is published one month before the election of the Host City at the 122nd IOC Session in Vancouver.

The three Candidate Cities will each give a short presentation to the Session on 10 February 2010 which will be immediately followed by the report of the Evaluation Commission Chairman, the vote and the announcement of the Host City.

It will be the first time a YOG Host City has been elected at an IOC Session, as the Host Cities of Singapore 2010 and Innsbruck 2012 were elected by the IOC members by means of a postal vote.

* The cities appear in alphabetical order
