2010 Torch Rides in Yellow School Bus

(ATR) The Vancouver 2010 flame reaches Northeastern Ontario on Day 62 of the torch relay.

Yesterday highlights include the torch traveling through 16 towns and being carried by Olympian Brad Martin while snowboarding and by 2010 Paralympic alpine skiing hopeful, Melanie Schwartz, while skiing.

Today, the torch relay departs Barrie where athletics Olympian Robert Esmie runs with the 2010 flame.

The torch continues travel to the towns of Orillia, Rama, Gravehurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville where rowing Olympian Anna van der Kamp and gymnastics Olympian Melanie Banville will run with the torch.

The torch will ride in a yellow school bus carried by torchbearer Jodie Auckland who coordinated a postcard campaign at Huntsville Public School requesting the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay come to her town.

A community celebration including musical performances will take place at River Mill Park.

the towns of Wasauksing, Parry Sound, Sundridge, South River and Powassen.

The Olympic Torch reaches its final destination point of the day in the city of North Bay located in Northeastern Ontario. The town takes its name from its position on the shore of Lake Nipissing.

A welcome celebration is planned at Discovery North Bay and will include Aboriginal drumming demonstrations, theatre and music.

Tomorrow, the torch travels through 13 towns and will be carried by two Olympians as it crosses back into the province of Quebec.
