The “president of presidents” at the IOC: the Pan American Sports Organization, the Association of National Olympic Committees and Olympic Solidarity are all intertwined and led by this IOC member from Mexico. As he prepares to seek another term as IOC vice president, Bach remains an important figure in the leadership of the IOC. He also chairs the Juridical Commission that oversees the handling of doping cases and legal issues involving the IOC. Bach, 56, is president of the DOSB – the German National Olympic Committee – as it launches a bid for the 2018 Winter Games in Munich. The Golden 25 is a compilation of those individuals who will have the greatest influence in the Olympic Movement during the coming year.
