  • Coca-Cola has been affiliated with the Olympic Movement since 1928, longer than any other company. The company will host a live site in 2010, and promises its regular activities along with some surprises still under wraps. Coca-Cola's torch relay sponsorship began with Barcelona 1992 and is continuing on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic routes. The company is running a contest for the Vancouver Games to find 4,500 Canadian torchbearers.   • Vancouver 2010 marks McDonald's seventh consecutive Games as the official Olympic restaurant. For 2010, McDonald's will again be on the front line of food service in the Olympic and Paralympic venues. McDonald's Canada is supporting the host country athletes through its own 2010 Hopefuls program; the corporate office is supporting the Canadian Olympic Committee's Own the Podium program.

  • OMEGA was the first company to be entrusted with the official timekeeping of all disciplines at the Los Angeles Games in 1932 using chronographs and stop-watches developed by its subsidiary Lémania. OMEGA's association with the Olympic Games led to well over half a century of pioneering developments in the field of sports timekeeping. The company's 2010 Olympic countdown clock, near the Vancouver Art Gallery, began ticking down the days to the Games on Feb. 12, 2007, three years ahead of the opening ceremony.

  • Panasonic's first Games as a TOP sponsor were the last in Canada--Calgary 1988. On September 3, 2007, Panasonic extended its TOP sponsorship by six years, taking it into the summer of 2016 as the official audio and visual equipment provider. Panasonic's HD televisions throughout the venues will show the first Games to be fully broadcast in high definition.

  • Samsung will sponsor the Games through 2016, with an aim to deliver voice, video and data from the Games via mobile phone. Starting in Athens, Samsung set up its multimedia Wireless Olympic Works system, which delivers real-time data, news and video to the leaders of the Olympic Family.
